I have to ask? Because I dont have enough fact here but in trying to make sense of throwing a legend in the garbage......Did Ted Thompson make a promise he couldnt keep and now fears looking the ass. Is this one of those situations like he looks like an ass either way?  Did he make a promise to Aaron and found himself wishing and hoping that Brett would leave so he didnt have to worry about his image to Aaron anymore? Did he sigh the big sigh of relief when Brett came on to retire and that is why they are forcing Brett to stick to his decision where no other athlete in the world of sports who has retired has ever been treated this way? Especially one who is so PROOVEN???? WORTHY????   I am so confused and am having a hard time understanding why or how they could do this to Brett. Is this a Ted worried about not living up to his word and is so self centered that the only thing he is worried about is his reputation with Aaron Rodgers? Is he so self centered he cant even think about the damage his actions are causing Brett, Green Bay Packers, the fans, the community, the entire globe? Does he not realize that the Packers have fans all over the entire world and that some of that is because of Brett? Has he forgotten the pattern of Brett over the past 17 years? HELP!!!!!  Facts only please.

Facts. 1) There have been lots of Bretts in the NFL and there will be many more. 2) No one is throwing Brett in the garbage, HE retired, not once, but twice. Thats a fact!! 3) What type of damage has ted caused the Packers? You speak like you know of all this unrepairable damage....give me examples of all this 'damage' you talk about.

Show me the signed "retired" contract. Go to the page where it says he cant change his mind. Check out past athletes that have retired, not once, twice, but three times and still came back without this hassle. FACT, FACT, FACT. So why after 17 years of continuously PROOVING himself the most sought after , wanted quarterback would the organization tell him he would have to come back to WARM THE BENCH...you gotta be kidding. Brett earned that starter seat.
The damage? What Ted is doing is not making any sense and what does make sense , which is all speculation because we dont have any story from them to go off of . What we do know points to Ted wanting Brett gone. Because other teams and fans understand the importance of Brett we look like complete idiots to not take him back. Trust me , walking in to that stadium after treating Brett like he is worthless....which is the complete opposite...FACT....it will be complete humiliation. Watch how Bear fans react to the fans without Brett, the Vikings fans without Brett Cowboy fans without Brett. They take great pride in beating us down and this is the best way it could have ended for them.
And fact, they are treating Brett like he is garbage. Just as I mentioned above. No GM in their RIGHT mind would turn down something that isnt a DONE deal.
The fact about making us look like idiots...he is a legend, he is a record maker, he took our losing team and made it a winning one, the list goes on. Brett out did every football great in history and now because he said he needed to retire at the most exhausting part of the season you a

among a few others are feeling he needs to stick to that decision? That is a major decision to be making in a short months time. And coming off of a long tiring season I cant believe anybody feels that is ok. Including you? So explain your side to me. But remember.....the NFL doesnt hold Brett to his retiring so why should you.

I have been watching Packer games for 30 years. I remember going to the bar and bets were being placed as to how many points we would lose by. The situation right now warrants a reminder, a reminder of the team we would still have if it werent for Brett and the many others that stuck themselves out there to bring us the best football team we could remember. They gave us reason to be "egotistical". I am finding, to my horror, that yes, there are fair weathered fans out there, and now they are showering Brett with that same trait. I won't let any of you forget how Brett changed our team, not just for me.....BUT YOU!!!
