All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.
Shakespeare
In the light of current events worldwide and recent socio-political developments in the United States, it is evident that many people remain blissfully ignorant, whether willfully or naturally, while others are awakening to the specter of reality and are either at a loss as to how to respond to the challenges that face them or are doing what they can to stem the tide that will eventually overwhelm the majority when it becomes too late to act.
As with all staged productions, world events are manipulated to produce a desired effect among the masses, who are not merely spectators, but participants. This does not happen overnight, but rather is cleverly crafted over time with occasionally unforseen or uncontrollable glitches and errors that are adapted to or corrected with measured response by the "directors" of the program.
What better example of this than the race for the White House?
On the one hand is the McCain campaign for the Republicans. Until most recently, the majority of Republican voters rejected the senator from Arizona as evidenced by the divided primaries and caucuses, which were manhandled to favor particular candidates over others. Even conservative (so-called) talking heads were disgusted with the prospect of a McCain candidacy because of his left-leaning tendancies and willingness to sacrifice principle over political expediency. Once it became certain that Mr. McCain would become the presumptive nominee, again the majority vowed to either vote for someone else or sit out the elections entirely. Then came the masterstroke of the McCain puppeteers by appointing the apparently socially, economically conservative Sarah Palin from Alaska. Suddenly the accolades would not cease as the sycophants fawned over the neo-con Vice President select ad nauseam McCain supporters scurried out from the woodwork by the droves within moments of the announcement. Forget the fact that he is the same guy with the same policies and political philosophies that turned so many off before the beautiful window dressing was added . . .
On the other hand is the lovefest, otherwise known as the Obama campaign for "change". Young, good looking, energetic, charismatic, and articulate (with a teleprompter or scripted), the majority of Democrats resoundedly (and wisely) rejected another Clinton dynasty, which would have been diabolically disasterous. Since at least the year 2000, Hillary Clinton was intended to be coronated as queen of North America for her faithfulness during her husband's playboy presidency. Yet the enlisted broke ranks for the hope of having the first black CIC, thereby rescinding William J's claim to the title. Other than that, what does "change" really mean? Up until now, the campaign has never fully defined what changes would occur and how it would be better for the American people. It would be a plus to not have a Bush or Clinton on or near the throne in the course of 30 years, but the "change", I dread, will not be what the charming snake oil salesmen are pitching through their young apprentice. In fact, the snake oil is really venom.
These were only examples; topical really. There is far worse in store for us. The truth is we are provided only two choices: Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dumb, or the lesser of two evils. It isn't the fact that there are only two choices, but rather that someone else is determining for us who we should choose between which is most disconcerting. That over decades the American people were led to believe in a democratic process that doesn't really exist is the startling dilemma. Whether it is fraudulent primaries/caucuses or manipulated voting machines (i.e. Diebold, et al.), or electoral and judicial systems that skew voters' perceptions or results, the bottom line is that we are in the midst of a "smoke and mirrors" show and all of us would be wiser to wake up to that.
The Roman poet Juvenal wrote the following:
Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions — everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things: bread and circuses
When all we care about is food and entertainment and fail to properly exercise our civic responsibilities, we implicitly grant to others the power to become our masters as we gradually recede into serfdom, forfeiting the very liberties we had the right to retain.

Foreign Policy & Gas Prices
Aug 19, 2008 | 8:48 PM PST
Category:

"Texas Strait Talk: A weekly column" By Congressman Ron PaulHow Foreign Policy Affects Gas Prices
We've
heard how the value of the dollar affects gas prices – and indeed the
price of everything. I was pleased that my request for a hearing on
such was granted by the Financial Services committee and we were able
to hear some very informative testimony. Certainly domestic policies,
regarding off-shore oil drilling bans, ethanol mandates, refining
capacity, and CAFE standards are interventionist and harmful enough in
the energy market.
But
how does foreign policy affect gas prices? One important factor is
that oil on the world market has been priced in dollars exclusively
since 1973. Only two leaders have gone against this arrangement -
Saddam Hussein in 2000 and more recently Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with the
recently opened Iranian Oil Bourse which trades in non-dollar
currencies. But since oil is otherwise exclusively traded in dollars,
this means that oil producers have vast amounts of assets held in
dollars. Especially since the War on Terror and the PATRIOT Act, many
oil-producing nations and banks are concerned the US
government may freeze assets based on flimsy pretexts. This fear
contributes to dollar weakness, and therefore also high oil prices.
Recently
I and other members of Congress spoke out against H Con Res 362 and
exposed this seemingly innocuous bill for what it really is – a call
for a blockade and a build up to war with Iran. Thankfully it has not
come to the floor for a vote as I had fully expected it would. But to
even propose legislation like this, and get an alarming 261 cosponsors,
makes the oil markets jittery and encourages more capital flight from
the dollar. We only isolate ourselves on the world stage with actions
and attitudes like this. After all, how can it be wise for the rest of
the world to bank on America, when we tend to freeze assets and blockade entire countries for no good reason?
Another
major factor is our intervention in international military conflicts.
These conflicts are often much more complicated, and have more to do
with oil than our own leaders are willing to acknowledge. Too often
the side we support points our weapons right back at us down the road.
The best policy is always free trade with all and entangling alliances
with none, but instead we isolate ourselves by picking sides and making
enemies out of our friends or potential friends. In the recent
conflict with Russia and Georgia,
it appears that once again the administration is going to pick sides
and send taxpayer money, when we are in a deep recession here at home.
There is no good reason for us to put a dog in every fight around the
world.
The
contributing factors in the price of oil are complicated and legion.
The fact is, it is an immensely valuable resource, and, as our demand
for this resource is great, our relationships with world leaders who
control it should be handled with reason and intelligence. However,
our interventionist mindset when it comes to foreign policy never
ceases to get us into sticky situations, for which we pay a premium at
the gas pump.

For those who are concerned for the future of our nation, but don't understand what is happening and why, read, watch, and listen to what Representative Ron Paul has to say. Mr. Paul is a muted voice in the House of Representatives, and his political adversaries and mainstream media have effectively done their best to silence and/or belittle his message that he's been proclaiming for 30+ years. There is so much more to this man than what has been (mis)represented to the general public. That is why I strongly suggest that you pay attention to him. If your only source of information comes from the mainstream media, then you are severely short-changing yourself and your children.
Mr. Paul provides regular updates on what is transpiring in the halls of Congress, things that are not being adequately covered (if at all) by the media.Ron Paul Updates

In 1999, at the World Federalist Association meeting to honor venerated journalist, and anchorman, Walter Cronkite, Cronkite extolled the virtues of, and necessities for, a viable world government, including, but not limited to, an International Criminal Court with the jurisdiction to prosecute and punish individuals of member States worldwide, whose respective governments must abdicate sovereignty to a body of global governance.
What is more, Cronkite encouraged his entourage to join him at "Satan's right-hand side" in response to Pat Robertson's condemnation at the idea of a global government, and as a not too subtle jab at Christians, labeling them as right-wing extremists.
Then First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, likewise parroted Cronkite's sentiments as she offered a prepared congratulatory speech to the man who told us "the way it is."

Ron
Paul MLK "Money
Bomb" is Coming Up
Monday, January 21
Can Ron Paul's
supporters make the
difference in this
race? According to
news sources, "All
of the Republican
candidates, with the
exception of Romney,
are broke." Well,
not quite. Ron Paul
still has 8 million
dollars left, but
then, you wouldn't
expect most media
outlets to include
Dr. Paul in their
discussion would
you? Sorry,
mainstream media you
bring these digs on
yourself by your
continued blackout
of Ron Paul's
achievements.
According to Jesse
Benton, a Ron Paul
spokesman, Dr. Paul
still has between
eight and nine
million dollars left
in the coffers. This
was aired during an
interview on the
Internet. If that is
so, then the
upcoming Money Bomb
to be held on
January 21 could
mean a lot for Ron
Paul. In the past
when supporters held
these "money bombs"
he was able to raise
$4.3 million dollars
on one day and $6
million dollars on
the other.
If Ron Paul's
supporters are still
able to donate, and
haven't maxed out
yet, there is room
for Ron Paul to be
the best funded man
going into the Super
Tuesday elections
with the exception
of Mitt Romney,
whose bulk of
donations have come
out of his own
pocket. Part of this
will depend on how
much of his personal
fortune Romney is
willing to spend.
So far, the field is
still wide open for
the GOP nomination.
Despite the fact
that the Boston
Globe falsely (er,
excuse me,
mistakenly?) printed
the results of the
recent Michigan
primary, Ron Paul
received fourth in
that contest, not
fifth. It was media
darling Fred
Thompson who
actually took the
fifth place spot
with the man who was
polling as the
frontrunner for most
of this season,
Giuliani behind him
in last place.
By now it is no
surprise that Ron
Paul's quite
respectable fourth
place finish was
ignored while the
media still treat
Mr. Giuliani as a
front runner. In
Iowa, Ron Paul came
in fifth, and
Giuliani came in
sixth. In New
Hampshire the two
were nearly tied,
but Giuliani did
beat Paul by one
percent coming in
fourth to Paul's
fifth place finish.
In Wyoming, CNN
simply reported by
amount of delegates
received and neither
Giuliani nor Paul
received any. As
noted above, in
Michigan Paul took
fourth place and
Giuliani took sixth,
or dead last. So by
all accounts, Ron
Paul is actually
leading Rudy
Giuliani, and yet no
one has called Mr.
Giuliani an
also-ran, or a
fringe candidate, no
these labels are
reserved for Ron
Paul.
People seem to
forget that all of
these early primary
states were
sanctioned for
moving up their
state's primaries
and as a result they
lost half of their
delegates as
punishment (except
Iowa because their
results are not
binding on their
delegates). What
does all this mean?
It means that even
though the early
states are doing
wonders for the
candidates in the
media, these states
have so few
delegates that
winning them means
very little in the
big picture. For
example, the winner
in Wyoming took 8
delegates. There are
2380 delegates up
for grabs. The
person who gets 1190
or more wins the
nomination. Getting
8 delegates doesn't
affect that total
very much. Ron Paul,
despite these early
losses, still could
easily win, at least
mathematically.
Ron Paul just
received his best
finish yet and that
is not newsworthy.
All the other
candidates are broke
and Ron Paul still
has 8 million plus
and that is not
newsworthy. Ron Paul
received nearly 20
million dollars in
donations last
quarter (most likely
beating the others
by a huge margin -
but they are all mum
on the subject for
now) and that got
barely a blip. With
all the other
candidates broke,
another large
donation day could
put Paul is better
shape than all the
other candidates
(again, except
Romney with his own
money to donate).
Ron Paul supporters,
now is the time to
really dig deep for
your candidate. No
matter how high or
low you are in the
polls, it is
difficult to
continue a
Presidential run
when you are flat
broke. Monday,
January 21 is the
next big donation
day drive. That is
this Monday, the one
in a few days. The
day after Sunday.
Get it? This day is
for all donors large
and small. Give as
little as ten
dollars or the
maximum $2300, but
if you support Ron
Paul, now is the
time to give all you
can.
This may be your
last chance America.
Senate Bill 1959
includes the finding
by Congress that
"The Internet has
aided in
facilitating violent
radicalization,
ideologically based
violence, and the
homegrown terrorism
process in the
United States by
providing access to
broad and constant
streams of
terrorist-related
propaganda to United
States citizens."
You don't have to
have too much
imagination to see
that a free and open
Internet where a man
running for
President can get
his ideas out to the
public may be in
jeopardy. Ron Paul's
type of Internet
driven campaign may
be the last of its
kind.
Monday, January 21,
2008, make your
voices heard. Vote
with donations at
www.RonPaul2008.com.
That is the website
of the official
campaign. The money
goes directly to the
campaign. For any
poker players
reading this, if you
haven't been living
in the desert for
the past year, you
will know that Ron
Paul is the ONLY
Presidential
candidate who
actually cares about
you getting back the
right to play poker
online. He voted
against the Unlawful
Internet Gaming
Enforcement Act when
it was in the House
and he supports a
free and open
Internet. No wonder
so many are trying
to stop him.

Kucinich Asks for New Hampshire Recount in the Interest of Election
Integrity
DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, the most outspoken
advocate in the Presidential field and in Congress for election
integrity, paper-ballot elections, and campaign finance reform, has sent
a letter to the New Hampshire Secretary of State asking for a recount of
Tuesday’s election because of “unexplained
disparities between hand-counted ballots and machine-counted ballots.”
“I am not making this request in the
expectation that a recount will significantly affect the number of votes
that were cast on my behalf,” Kucinich
stressed in a letter to Secretary of State William M. Gardner. But, “Serious
and credible reports, allegations, and rumors have surfaced in the past
few days…It is imperative that these questions
be addressed in the interest of public confidence in the integrity of
the election process and the election machinery –
not just in New Hampshire, but in every other state that conducts a
primary election.”
He added, “Ever since the 2000 election –
and even before – the American people have
been losing faith in the belief that their votes were actually counted.
This recount isn’t about who won 39% of 36%
or even 1%. It’s about establishing whether
100% of the voters had 100% of their votes counted exactly the way they
cast them.”
Kucinich, who drew about 1.4% of the New Hampshire Democratic primary
vote, wrote, “This is not about my candidacy
or any other individual candidacy. It is about the integrity of the
election process.” No other Democratic
candidate, he noted, has stepped forward to question or pursue the
claims being made.
“New Hampshire is in the unique position to
address – and, if so determined, rectify –
these issues before they escalate into a massive, nationwide suspicion
of the process by which Americans elect their President. Based on the
controversies surrounding the Presidential elections in 2004 and 2000,
New Hampshire is in a prime position to investigate possible
irregularities and to issue findings for the benefit of the entire
nation,” Kucinich wrote in his letter.
“Without an official recount, the voters of
New Hampshire and the rest of the nation will never know whether there
are flaws in our electoral system that need to be identified and
addressed at this relatively early point in the Presidential nominating
process,” said Kucinich, who is campaigning
in Michigan this week in advance of next Tuesday’s
Presidential primary in that state.

It has been revealed that a high ranking executive at the company
that was contracted to program all of New Hampshire's Diebold
voting machines has a criminal record and has previously defended
the illegal act of "swapping out" memory cards for the
machines during live elections.
The revelations, which were uncovered by investigative
journalist and vote fraud expert Bev Harris of Blackboxvoting.org
and announced yesterday on the Alex Jones show, once
again plunge Diebold and the controversial electronic voting systems
into the spotlight.
Harris reports that Ken Hajjar, the Marketing and
Sales Director at LHS Associates was arrested, indicted, and pleaded
guilty to "sale / CND" (sale of controlled narcotic
drugs) and sentenced to 12 months in the Rockingham County Correctional
facility, and fined $2000. As things go for the politically connected,
he was then given a deferred sentence and $1000 of his fine was
suspended.
LHS Associates is a private company that counted
over four fifths of the New Hampshire vote with no oversight whatsoever
and also holds Diebold contracts for Connecticut, Massachusetts,
and Vermont.
Harris exclusively revealed some of the details
on the Alex Jones show yesterday as she was still awaiting triple
confirmation on the information and a
full copy of the criminal record from a source who
was investigating Hajjar regarding a separate matter.
"They program every single voting machine in New Hampshire,
Connecticut, almost all of Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine."
Harris comments. "But did state officials in five New England
states ever do a criminal background check on this company's executives?
Do the laws of these five states even ALLOW them to hire convicted
criminals for services paid for by the state? What about over
500 local towns and municipalities?"
The story becomes even more compelling given comments
made by Ken Hajjar himself in a recent
interview as he revealed that he totes memory cards
around in the trunk of his car and defends the concept of swapping
out memory cards during live elections!
Other LHS staff members we spoke with, including
Mike Carlson and Tom Burge, provided similar comments. They
said they would open machines up during an election and swap
memory cards as needed. This is illegal under Connecticut law
and Deputy Secretary Mara told us she has since informed LHS
that such actions were in violation of Connecticut election
laws.
"In 2006, as Hajjar argued in favor of their policy to
change cards during elections, I asked him about about the laws
which govern chain of custody issues. His response: "I
mean, I don't pay attention to every little law. It's just,
it's up to the Registrars. All we are is a support organization
on Election Day".
He said he had three memory cards in the trunk of his car and,
in the event they had to be used, the chain of custody issues
wouldn't matter since, "once you run the [pre-election]
test deck through, you're golden"."
(Article continues below)
Bev Harris has also asked for complaints filed on
a threat allegedly made in recent years to a New Hampshire woman,
and any other reports for Hajjar or LHS owner John Silvestro.
The pair grew up together in Lawrence, Massachusetts before moving
to Londonderry, New Hampshire.
As we detailed
in our report on Tuesday, John Silvestro has been
at the center of a long-running public dispute in trying to deflect
accusations made by hacker Harri Hursti that the voting machines
are wide open to tampering and can easily be rigged.
Video of John Silvestro as he tangles with Harri
Hursti recently surfaced on the web:
The Hursti/Silvestro saga formed the centerpiece
of the recent 80 minute HBO
film "Hacking Democracy".
The new revelations concerning LHS may prove even
more explosive in wake Tuesday's New Hampshire results
vastly differing from the pre-election polls and
the emergence of clear
widespread evidence of vote fraud involving the machines.
If the allegations are accurate, it won't be the
first instance of Diebold employing a convicted felons to run
its ballot printing operations.
Harris previously
revealed that an embezzler named Jeffrey W. Dean,
who specialized in sophisticated alteration of records of computerized
systems, was a programmer of voting systems.
Dean was the senior vice president of Global Election
Systems and a director of the company previous to Diebold's takeover
in 2002. Despite Diebold's claim that Dean left the company when
they took over it was later revealed that they retained Dean as
a consultant.
Dean and his prison buddy John Elder, who did five
years for cocaine trafficking, ran a ballot plant on the West
coast and were also responsible for writing vote tallying software.
Harris' research has further shown that Global Election Systems/Diebold
vote machines were specifically built to allow tampering.
"It's weird, these guys are not even allowed
to vote because they are convicted felons!" Harris commented
yesterday.
New Hampshire District Admits Ron Paul Votes Not Counted

The head clerk of the New Hampshire town
of Sutton has been forced to admit that Ron Paul received 31 votes yet
when the final amount was transferred to a summary sheet and sent out
to the media, the total was listed as zero. The fiasco throws the entire
primary into doubt and could lead to a re-count.
As we reported
earlier today, an entire family voted for Ron Paul in Sutton, yet
when the voting map on the Politico website was posted, the total votes
for Ron Paul were zero.
Vote fraud expert Bev Harris contacted
the head clerk in Sutton, Jennifer Call, who was forced to admit that
the 31 votes Ron Paul received were completely omitted from the final
report sheet, claiming "human error" was responsible for the
mistake.
Two or three votes not counted could be
a plausible mistake - but 31 votes for one candidate?
(Article
continues below)
"The classic method for rigging a hand count is to write
the wrong number on the form," Harris told the Alex Jones
Show.
"They are counting everything in public real nice, they
fill out a form in public real nice and then they transfer it
to another form and they call that a summary sheet and then that
is the one they send in," explained Harris.
"What happened is she said they did not transfer the number
correctly and put zero instead of 31 - that is unacceptable as
an answer."
With 100% of precincts now reporting, the map originally listed
zero votes for Ron Paul as you can see below. It has now been
updated to reflect the 31 votes Paul actually received.
CLICK FOR ENLARGEMENT
The remainder of the 31 people in Sutton
who voted for Ron Paul need to go public immediately with the charge
of vote fraud and make it known that they were cheated out of their
right to vote.
Harris estimates that it could cost the
Ron Paul campaign as much as $67,000 dollars for a recount, but such
a move could throw the entire primary into doubt, especially in light
of the fact that Barack
Obama appears to have been cheated out of a win by Hillary Clinton.

Now,

On the fateful day of September 11, 2001, William Rodriguez, the 19 year maintenance crew member at the World Trade Center complex, risked his life multiple times to assist firefighters and rescue fifteen people before the first tower collapsed. He happened to be the only person with a master key to the stairwells and was extremely familiar with the layout of the buildings. This truly selfless American hero has become an international speaker relaying his experience as the last known survivor from the WTC.
Unfortunately, his story is only partially known to the mainstream public because his testimony was omitted from the 9-11 Commission Report and the media either twists his words during live interviews or they edit his testimony for sound bites.
Why would the 9-11 Commission omit such valuable testimony? Why would the media dance around his firsthand account surrounding the event?
The best way to get these answers is to check out his websites: http://www.william911.com or http://www.911keymaster.com.
As of 11:30 p.m., 22 Dec 07, two of the top five and four of the top ten most searched terms on the internet regard Ron Paul for the 2008 Presidential race. Something never mentioned in the mainstream press is how polls are gathered. As far as the Republican party is concerned, only 15% of past registered (R) voters are phone polled. That means a whopping 85% are not even contacted, much less the independent and previously apolitical voters. So, when you hear this% or that% are rallying behind such and such, you are only getting the minority report. Especially for you college-aged and never-voted, your peers are overwhelmingly backing Ron Paul. And you wouldn't believe the assortment gathering under his tent: (R), (D), (I), young, old, and others you'd never guess! All because of his PROVEN stance on liberty and the Constitution. But don't believe all the online hype either. See for yourselves! Get educated! Be independent thinkers! See the following: www.myspace.com/foxvalley4ronpaul www.ronpaul2008.orgGoogle video Ron Paul, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, CSPAN!
Don't listen to what others say, listen to Ron Paul's speeches, look at his voting record; he even visits students in their dorm rooms! Which other candidate would do that?!
Besides, if you must depend on other's OPINIONS (i.e. polls) to see who is most "popular", then you probably shouldn't be voting. But if you believe in the IDEAS that someone is promoting, then vote for that person! Don't believe in the party game. This isn't a sporting event! Know what you believe in! Vote what you believe!
I recently came across an article by
Jo Egelhoff, on
FoxPolitics.net, and in it was an account of an encounter between Ron Paul supporters and officer Rollins in October, 2007. I am aware of this type of unethical behavior by the
new police force nationwide, but to see it happening in Green Bay and the Fox Cities is disturbing, as it should be to you. Below is an excerpt:
Check out this Youtube
video showing Ashwaubenon police officers kicking two Ron Paul sign
holders off a pedestrian sidewalk (on a city street overpassing a
freeway), threatening that ambiguous catch-all of police-thuggery,
"Disorderly Conduct" and a $250 fine.
The Ron Paul sign in
question is rip-proof Tyvek, securely fastened to 2x2 lumber. Perfectly
safe. Nevertheless, earlier this week the DOT handed the intrepid
liberty-loving volunteers a copy of the regs and told them they
couldn't 'erect' a sign near the highway. Of course the DOT is
absolutely right. Except for the fact that "erect" means "construct"
and no one was constructing a sign over the highway. They are holding
their personal property on a designated pedestrian right-of-way and
expressing their political preference.
Furthering the
conspiracy to violate civil rights and chill political speech, the
WI-DOT came back the next day and made it obvious they were videotaping
the two sign holders. (Looks like there's room to cut the DOT's labor
and video camera budget.) A month prior, police also hustled Ron Paul
volunteers off the pedestrian walkway, which was the start of this
pattern of abuse. I can't wait to see what else is on that DOT
videotape.
