I think Brett felt pressured to give an answer; just like he said ; at that time he was burnt out and needed more time to rest to come to the right decision. I am sure Brett would not lie about how he felt when he says he felt pressured We owe him the benefit of the doubt after all he has given a lot of wonderful years to the Packers and what he has given to the Packer fans.

I think a quarterback that gave everything he could to the fans and to the Packer's deserves to come back as starter. Aaron I am sorry you've been waiting to for Brett to retire; but you have a lot more time, this could be Bretts last hurrahplaying another year.

I say to Arron Rodgers that " SOME TIMES ---- HAPPENS! " I

IF you don't bring Brett back as a starter you are ruining the Packers Legacy as being fair and an honest franchise.  This will go down in Packer history that the GM TEd Thompson refused to let Brett come back as a starter.  Doesn't sound good does it?

IS IT RIGHT FOR THE PACKER"S TO PLAY GOD AND PREVENT BRETT FROM PLAYING?   I DON"T THINK SO!!!!  I believe in the Packers hearts they know what is the right thing to do and I am hoping they will do it and that is I believe is to bring Brett back.

COME ON LET"S BE FAIR AND HONEST!!! BRING BACK BRETT FAVRE BACK AS A STARTER!!!!!   PLEASE.  :)

Enough Enough!!!!

Enough already on the Brett Favre coverage. When training camp starts, have Brett and AR settle it on the field. At the end of preseason hopefully we will know who the starter is.

When Michael Jordan came back out of retirement in 95 he wasn't a bench warmer. Put the 3 time MVP where he belongs, starting QB.

I think Brett Farve should stay retired. I can remember when Joe Montana did the very same thing and the 49ers traded him and he had a winless career for the time he remained. I think the Packers are doing the right thing by not allowing him to make the same mistake. If he were to come back he needs to be Arron Rogers backup. Arron has worked hard to get this position and he does not deserve to be dropped back down, because It's Brett Farve. Brett is a person just like the rest of us and deserves no special treatment. No disrespect to anyone, but it is time to let Rogers shine.

I think Brett should be brought back as starting QB, as he should be, as I've stated before, Everyone has the right to change their mind. As far as Aaron working hard to get here, what has he done, gone to mini camp, whohoo, Brett has done that many times, and no one said he worked hard, the bottom line should be, the Packers want to win, and Bretts the guy with the best chance for that. He is not getting Special Treatment, he has a 2 or 3 year contract left, he deserves the right to honor it, and the Packers should let him do that. This has turned into a Thompson ego trip, it should be all about The Packers Organization and who and how is the best one to get them to the top, nothing else. Rogers waited all this time, hasnt proved a thing yet, one more year or so isnt going to hurt him. We want the Pack to go to the Superbowl, With Brett. Also I think if Brett is brought back, as he should be, he should sign something saying he would play out his entire contract without any more of this retiring BLEEP.
Bring the best man back.....Brett, Do the Right thing for Brett and The Packers.

Well I'm sure glad i'm not the only one thinking these things. Right, if he comes back he has to play out his contract no ?'s asked. I belive our best chance is w/Brett hands down. First time Rogers gets hit, then what? Sorry Rogers, but Brett has already proven himself to us. We trust him and his ability. Thompson,McCarthy, listen up guys! WE want Brett!!!!! This is his 2nd home. We should welcome his with open arms, I know I will.

The Packers management has handled this sad story in an awful manner. From my perspective as a fan and season ticket holder, Brett Favre has been the face of the Green Bay Packers for the past 15+ years. Combined with Coach Holmgren and Ron Wolf, it can be argued that those three were responsible for the resurgence of the Green & Gold. For Favre to have gone from a position of being the best thing since sliced bread as far as quarterbacks are concerned in 2007, to his apparent worthlessness to the organization in 2008 defies logic. It suggests to me that, despite denials, there is and has been another agenda at work in the office of Ted Thompson regarding Favre and the direction of the team. I always thought that this organization had more sense and class than what I have been seeing since Bob Harlan left office and maybe that is the key to all of this, that there just aren't any classy individuals left that are calling the shots over on Lombardi Avenue. Because of the manner in which a true Icon of Green Bay, Brett Favre, is being treated, it is going to be a very long time before I forgive the Packers for what I see them doing.

I’ve always hated football and never cared about the Packers much, until I watched BRETT FAVRE. That man is absolutely the GREATEST! I didn’t even like HIM much at first, but over the LONG years I’ve learned to admire him as a QB, leader and person and I grew to LOVE the Packers. To watch the way Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy and Mark Murphy have disrespected Brett and the fans is sickening. Isn’t it obvious to EVERYONE that these three have made life extremely difficult for Brett AND the other players since these three arrived? Isn’t it also obvious that they don’t care any more about WINNING the SUPERBOWL than they do about the players and fans? What do they care about? The Packers are UNLIKE ANY OTHER team in football! Brett is UNLIKE ANY OTHER QB! There would be no Packers, if not for ALL Brett has done. The Packers would have disappeared LONG AGO. It’s time for the Packers to make it right; bring Brett home where he belongs as our STARTING QB and give him ALL the support HE needs to lead the Pack to victory!

i love football...expecially the packers. however there would be none of the things the packers have today if it werent for brett favre. he's done so much for this organization and now hearing ted and mike say no to him it painful. they hurried his decision and he said that he would change his mind but didnt say for sure if he would come back. yes aaron rodgers needs his chance to shine but brett is a legend. any fan in the whole NFL knows him. hes a 3 time MVP and has broken every record for passing in the books! how can you say no to BRETT FAVRE??????? We need to bring brett home as our starting QB!!!!
i love brett favre!

Aaron didn't beat anyone out for the job! ted just gave it to his son seeing that he drafted him with his first ever pick as gm. the guy can't even make it through the year holding a clip board without getting hurt how is he going to make through the year actually doing something on the field. bring back the 3 time mvp and trade rodgers, make brett commite to at least 2 more years. then their second round QB will be ready and i think he will be better than rodgers anyway.

OK, so you want Brett back as the starter? I don't dissagree with that. I was as suprised as everybody else when he announced his retirement after the last season. But seriously, how much time do you give him to make up his mind? He retires, then calls to come back. No problem. Everybody agrees to bring him back. Then a couple days later he retires again...final answer. Now after all the OTA's, a total revamping of the offenseive plays, etc, he wants back. Sorry. A lot of time and energy were spent retooling everything for life after Brett. I also find it very telling about what Brett REALLY wants after hearing the interviews. He wanted to wait 'till training camp started to make his decision. Now that all bridges have been burned, he's told that NO further action can be taken one way or another till he files the re-enstatement paperwork with the league. Buss Cook comes out today and says they are not going to file the paperwork anytime soon, because they don't want Brett to pay the fines when he doesn't show up to training camp while he's waiting for his trade. Basically, if he files the paperwork he will be expected to be in training camp. He plans on waiting till camp starts to file the forms! That way he can be reactivated and traded and sent to a new team to start without having to train like the rest of the players! So he wants the glory of Sunday afternoon, but not put in the work?
