This morning I heard this news story about this woman who works at Espresso Gone Wild. The employee reported harassment after a man in the drive thru took photos of her even though she told him he couldn't. She filed a police report and they are investigating the situation.

This story is disturbing on many levels. Who decided that modesty doesn't make money? Honestly, in my opinion, you must be a pretty bad business owner if your solution to your Starbucks competition is having scantily clad employees. There is no other solution? What about excellent customer service? What about a nice, clean sitting area or bathroom? What about a specialty coffee drink? What about coffee cake or other food?...you get my point.

"Girls Gone Wild" why has that become so popular and acceptable? Whether it is those videos or these coffee places why are people accepting this as okay? If the majority of this country took a stand on modesty I guarantee this American culture would be better and eventually less sex obsessed.

If we're going to address the obsession with sex, then we better take a look at violence as well.

Let's start with the media, all you see on T.V. today is sex and violence. When I was younger you never heard or saw the things that are on now.

Our children are filled with nothing but sex and violence. Young girls see nothing but thin sexy women on T.V. and on the cover of every magazine and think that's how they should look. So what do they do? They starve themselves, force themselves to throw up and anything else that will keep them skinny.

The bulk of movies and video games are filled with violence, and age restrictions are not enforced. Age restriction on material or not, is it any better for an adult to watch it? Your kids know that you do, so what do you think they're going to do?

The media slowly started feeding us sex and violence, and like Pavlov's Dog we were trained to except it. Not that long ago it was the big T.V. shocker seeing Dennis Franz' butt on NYPD Blue, now that would be nothing.

These things would not have been acceptable years ago. The show SWAT was taken off of the air because it was too violent, in all of the episodes of CHIPs there was only one time that a gun was drawn, but it wasn't even fired. The closest we had to sex was the Fonz kissing a girl on Happy Days, and I don't recall him ever feeling anybody up.

So you're right, sex has become a big part of todays society. I don't know that we're obsessed with it, we've just accepted it.

I think it's great that you voiced your opinion, more people should. I said in one of my

Hello! I have lived in Green Bay for over 15 years. I am working on my degree in Communications. I have a Video Production internship this fall and am excited to learn more about my passion. I enjoy bowling, watching movies, and if you haven't guessed already I am a big Packer fan. I try to update my blogs when I can but usually it is only when I feel something is worthy to blog. I hope my Newsroom blog will be different. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
